The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for A Nice Indian Boy, composed by Raashi Kulkarni, is now available on all digital platforms, coinciding with the film's theatrical release. Kulkarni's score blends Western orchestral traditions with rich Indian musical elements, creating a dynamic, hybrid sound that complements the film's exploration of identity and family. Raashi worked in close collaboration with director Roshan Sethi to create a score that integrates Bollywood influences with modern pop sensibilities, capturing the film's heartfelt and humorous journey of self-discovery.
Roshan Sethi, director of the film says, "I have had the pleasure of working with Raashi on two movies. She is one of the best composers working now. Her music, especially in this movie, combines comedy and emotion in such a natural and fluid way. One of the remarkable things about her music is that it is so complex and ever evolving. The editor working on our movie noted that she had never edited music like it because of the sophisticated way in which it ebbs and flows. She has a truly original voice and her music has elevated our movie considerably."
Kulkarni says, "I'm honored to be a part of A Nice Indian Boy. I focused on creating a score that would reflect the emotional depth of the characters' journeys, particularly through the development of unique musical themes. Each motif represents a new chapter of our lead character's growth. I also had the privilege of arranging the musical number at the end with an orchestra, which established a cohesive sound from beginning to end. Blending traditional Indian sounds with modern influences, my goal was to create a score that would not only enhance the film's narrative but also resonate deeply with audiences. It has been an incredible experience collaborating with Roshan Sethi and the rest of the team. I can't wait for everyone to experience this film on the big screen."
