Rising British composer Thomas Haines is set to release his highly anticipated original score for the animated Netflix original series Wolf King alongside the show's international premiere on March 20th, 2025. The music will be available across all major streaming platforms, allowing fans to experience Haines' visceral score as an original soundtrack album.

Wolf King is a fantasy adventure series adapted from the beloved Wereworld series of books by author Curtis Jobling. Featuring the iconic voice work of such actors as Ralph Ineson and Peter Serafinowicz, Wolf King follows sixteen-year-old Drew Ferran (Ceallach Spellman) as he discovers that he is the last surviving member in a long ancestral line of werewolves. Young Drew suddenly finds himself in conflict with the tyrannical Lionlords, who will stop at nothing to defend the throne from Drew's rightful claim as the wolf king. The action-packed series is directed by Tom Brass and produced by Lime Pictures.

Haines' score for Wolf King was recorded in-house at Brain Audio's studio in the London Design District. Brain Audio's full-service suite of audio post-production resources allowed for a unique integration of score and sound in Wolf King. Working alongside sound designers Steve Bond and Carlos San Juan, Haines readily incorporated obscure and unusual sounds into his compositions, including the Carynx - an iron age war horn - as well as the Conch and the EMS Synthi A, a 1960s BBC Radiophonic Workshop-era synthesizer.

"Working with Steve and Carlos at Brain Audio on the score and sound design for Wolf King was one of the most fruitful collaborations of my career," says Haines. "It marked a rare opportunity to work on sound and score together under one roof, like a band with one composer and two sound designers in it! Our work was incredibly hands on and we went to extraordinary lengths to find and record sounds that are totally unique to this show. We have an incredibly talented team here at Brain Audio which made this project so powerful and creatively fulfilling."

Haines co-founded Brain Audio alongside his creative partner Chris Branch 25 years ago and has since collaborated with such clients as Dreamworks, Disney, BBC, Meta, and Audibles. In addition to his work on Wolf King , Haines is anticipating the release of his score on Steven Eastwood's The Stimming Pool in UK cinemas this month.
