Emmy-winning composer Bruce Broughton to join other composers in conducting a selection of music from their feature film scores; early registrants will be entered to win a DVD of last year\'s concert as well as autographed CDs!
May 4, 2007 - The BSOSprit Society is proud to reveal that composer Bruce Broughton will be conducting new suites of music from his acclaimed scores to Young Sherlock Holmes and Silverado at the Third International Film Music Conference in the City of Úbeda, Spain, from July 19-22, 2007.
Broughton will be joining Roque Baños, who will be conducting a new suite of music from his score to Alatriste, along with other composers and special guests, in the large orchestral concert that will take place at the conference.
Last year\'s concert included Basil Poledouris\' last public appearance, where he conducted a 40-minute suite of music from Conan the Barbarian, as well as music by John Frizzell, John Ottman and John Debney. A DVD was manufactured of this once-in-a-lifetime performance, and we are pleased to announce that after long negotiations with the sponsors, additional funding has been secured to produce 150 additional units of this sold-out DVD, which will be given to the next 150 people who register for the full conference (Concert and Panel Discussions), and payment is processed.
Also, the first 300 fully registered people will be automatically entered into a raffle to where four people will win personally autographed copies of John Debney\'s promotional score albums to My Favorite Martian and Inspector Gadget - and Bruce Broughton\'s out-of-print score to The Boy Who Could Fly, as well as a few compilation CDs of a variety of his compositions.
