Lakeshore Records will release the Elvis & Nixon – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on April 22 and on CD May 22, 2016. The album features the film's original score by Edward Shearmur, and classic tracks from artists including Blood, Sweat & Tears, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Otis Redding.
"The goal was to set a light and sunny tone for the film, that spoke to a sense of time and place and that hinted at the caper aspects of the story," said Shearmur. "We weren't trying to recreate or mimic an Elvis Presley sound, but music of the seventies, and specifically Memphis was definitely an inspiration."
Elvis & Nixon will be in theaters April 22.
