Opening in theaters nationwide this week are (with music by): Exhibiting Forgiveness (Jherek Bischoff), Goodrich (Christopher Willis), Gracie and Pedro: Pets to the Rescue (Deon Van Heerden) and Smile 2 (Cristobal Tapia de Veer). Expanding nationwide from its limited release last week is We Live in Time (Bryce Dessner).

- George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day) is turning 74 tomorrow, October 19.
- Thomas Newman (The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty) is turning 69 on Sunday, October 20.
- Marc Shaiman (A Few Good Men, Mary Poppins Returns) is turning 65 on Tuesday, October 22.
- Graeme Revell (The Crow, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider) is turning 69 on Wednesday, October 23.
- David Kitay (Ghost World, Look Who's Talking) is turning 63 on October 23.
