Yesterday the Society of Composers and Lyricist hosted their annual reception to honor the Academy Award nominees in the music categories. Held at the Beverly Hills home of John Cacavas, in attendence to celebrate were many members of the SCL, including all five of this year\'s score nominees (Thomas Newman, Gustavo Santaolalla, Javier Navarrete, Philip Glass and Alexandre Desplat), as well as most of the song nominees (Henry Krieger, Scott Cutler, Anne Previn, Siedah Garrett, Willie Reale and Randy Newman). Most noteworthy was the presence of Ennio Morricone, who will be receiving an Honorary Oscar.
Below you will find a slew of photos from the event. Be sure to listen to our exclusive podcast from the event, including interview snippets with most of the nominees present, as well as excerpts from the awards presentation.
